Collection: Dog Seat Cover

18 products

Traveling with a dog means protecting the seats and giving the animal a stable place to ride, and this collection handles both: waterproof back seat covers with mesh viewing windows and headrest flaps, hammock-style seats that bridge the rear footwell, back seat extenders with hard bottoms rated for large dogs, non-inflatable truck bed mattresses and cargo liners. Most pieces install on any car, SUV or pickup rear bench, with some sized for specific vehicles such as full-size trucks or Tesla models, and all of them are built to be hosed off or wiped down after a muddy trip.

Pet gear takes abuse, so OMOTOR backs every cover and extender here with a 1-year warranty and a 90-day return window if the sizing or fit is not what you needed. Vehicle-specific covers list the model years they are cut for and we guarantee that fit. Orders ship free to US addresses from our US warehouse, and our US-based support team can tell you whether a given hammock or extender suits your bench width and anchor points.

What to look for

  • Hammock, flat cover or extender: a hammock keeps the dog off the floor and away from the front seats; a flat cover leaves room for passengers; an extender fills the footwell so the dog can lie flat. Pick based on how the back seat is used.
  • Weight rating on extenders: hard-bottom extenders list a load limit. Choose one above your dog's weight with margin for jumping in and out.
  • Anchoring and seatbelt access: look for seat anchors, non-slip backing and openings for seatbelt buckles so a passenger or a harnessed dog can still buckle in.
  • Material and cleaning: quilted waterproof layers with a sealed backing stop liquid reaching the seat; mesh windows reduce anxiety but are not scratch-proof. Machine washable fabric is easier to maintain than wipe-only vinyl.

Frequently asked questions

Will a universal dog seat cover fit a pickup's rear bench?

Yes, for most crew cab trucks. Universal covers and extenders are made for full-width rear seats and attach to headrests and seat anchors. Extended cab trucks with a narrow rear seat may be too short; measure the bench width against the cover dimensions first.

Can I use a back seat extender with child seats?

Not at the same time. An extender covers the bench and footwell and blocks the LATCH anchors and seatbelt paths, so it must come out when a child seat is installed. Flat covers with buckle openings are the better choice when kids and dogs share the seat.

Is a truck bed mattress safe for dogs to ride on?

Truck bed mattresses are for camping and parked use, not for carrying a dog in an open bed while driving. For travel, keep the dog in the cab on a cover or extender; use the mattress as a sleeping pad at camp or under a bed cap.
