What to look for

  • Separate 2-door from Unlimited. Rear window racks, under-seat storage and quarter panel guards are built around the longer 4-door body, and most do not fit the 2-door even within the same generation.
  • Know your tail light type. The JL was sold with both halogen and factory LED tail lights, and the two use different connectors, so LED replacement sets often specify which factory setup they replace.
  • Watch grille changes. Grille inserts are shaped for one grille, and the JL received a revised grille for 2024, so inserts listed through 2022 or 2023 should not be assumed to fit the refreshed front end.
  • Plan the install. Door bags, cargo shelves and most MOLLE racks use factory bolt locations and hand tools, while quarter panel guards and roof racks are heavier, two-person jobs that may need factory trim removed.

Will JK parts fit my 2018 Wrangler?

Only if your 2018 is a JK. 2018 was a split year: the JK and the all-new JL were sold side by side, and they share almost no body or interior parts. The easiest tell is the front turn signals, which sit in the fender flares on a JL and in the grille area on a JK.

Do the rear window racks and shelves fit a 2-door JL?

Most are designed for the JLU 4-door because its rear quarter windows are longer and the mounting points differ. If a listing does not say 2-door, assume it fits the 4-door only, and check the fitment tab or ask us before ordering for a 2-door.

Will Wrangler JL accessories fit a Gladiator?

Often, but only forward of the rear seats. The Gladiator JT shares its grille, headlights, hood, front doors and dashboard with the JL, so grille inserts and front door bags usually cross over. Anything for the rear cargo area, rear glass or tail lights is different and should be bought as a JT-specific part.
