What to look for

  • 2-door or 4-door: side steps, quarter guards, under-seat storage and tube doors are different lengths and shapes for the 2-door and the JKU. A title that says "4 Door Only" means the 2-door version is a separate listing.
  • Early or late JK: the 2011 interior refresh changed the dash, seats and rear floor, so under-seat storage and most cabin accessories list 2011–2018 rather than 2007–2018. Exterior parts generally span the full run.
  • Doors and mirrors: factory mirrors mount to the doors, so tube doors either include mirrors or need a relocation bracket. Check whether the set you choose comes with mirrors.
  • Cross-listed JK and JL items: roof cross bars, hinge mounts and tailgate tables that cover 2007–2026 use adjustable or shared mounting points, but anything that touches the tail lights, grille or fenders is generation specific.

My Wrangler is a 2018. Is it a JK or a JL?

It could be either; both were sold as 2018 models. The quickest check is the grille: on a JL the headlights cut into the outer grille slots, while on a JK the round headlights sit beside the grille. Your VIN or window sticker also lists the body code.

Will JK side steps fit both the 2-door and the Unlimited?

No. The Unlimited has a longer wheelbase, so its steps are longer and use different mounting points. Each listing names the door count it fits, and some sets offer both lengths as options. Measure between your front and rear wheel wells if you are unsure which you have.

Can I keep my factory mirrors with tubular trail doors?

Usually not directly. The factory mirrors bolt to the full doors, which come off when you install tube doors. The trail doors in this collection include side-view mirrors or a mirror mount; confirm the listing before ordering so you stay legal on the road.
